Hello, neighbors
Latest updates: Wed, Oct 30

Welcome to my website. I have a new tab about my opponent, Joe John. Since neither his handout at the polls, nor HIS website give his voting record in the last legislative session, I am doing so for you on MY website. Joe has been in office 8 years. You would think he would be proud of his accomplishments and put them out there for his constituents to see. He does not. I encourage each of you to stop and ask Joe's representative at your polling place how he voted on the issues that are important to you.
Early voting in Wake County ends on Nov 2nd. If you are not registered to vote, you may register AND vote on the spot at any of the early voting sites in Wake County and beyond.
I have been at Lake Lynn early voting site almost every day. The crowds have been amazing! Ditto for the other sites around the county. If you are going to the polls ONLY to turn in your mail-in ballot, you may SKIP THE LINE and go right in.
Speaking to hundreds of voters, one on one in line has been a humbling experience. Most have been polite and either interseted in a chat or not interested. Most people have thoughtfully considered their choices; I think few minds are changed 15 minutes before voting. There is a LOT of enthusiasum to vote this year, from barely able to walk seniors, to pregnant women due tomorrow! I want to thank those planning to vote for me, and who have voted for me already. I am excited to WIN and SERVE!
All of this seems trivial compared to the existing devestation from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Let us all pray for the people suffering, and do whatever else we can to support them.
The NC Board of Elections is doing everything possible for those folks affected by Helene to cast their ballots in the upcoming election. Voting is an OBLIGATION of citizens in the USA. NCGOP and the RNC are also assisting in that effort as best they can.
I VOTED SATURDAY!
My Story
I am Jerry Doliner. On December 14, 2023 I filed to run for NC House District 40 as a Republican. While I have followed politics closely for many years, it wasn't until recently that I thought about running for office. I have no political past, other than volunteering, attending meetings and helping in the 2022 elections for the Republican Party.

I moved to Raleigh in 1953 and have pretty much lived here since then. I attended the Raleigh and NC public schools from Clarence Poe Elementary onto UNC Chapel Hill. I have a wife, 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. I am a retired small business owner, having owned the Blimpie Base sub shop in Chapel hill right out of college in 1972, to owning and running a small chain of Dry Cleaners and Coin Laundries named "The Cleaners", and owning several rental houses. I am fully retired since April, 2020.

Why run for office now? The extreme divisiveness in our country scares me. The lack of a well informed populace coupled with a media that is not neutral is pushing our Republic to the brink. Maybe I can bring a bit of truth and civility to this race and to the NC Legislature after I win this election.

I want to bring common sense to the legislature. North Carolinians need their Representatives to be for the good of the state before the good of their party.
I am running a low budget campaign, using only my own funds. I built and manage this website by myself. It may seem a little rough; so be it. I am the campaign manager, treasurer and the candidate. I can still use some volunteers. Use the contact form to get in touch with me.

Early voting began on Oct 17th. I started my campaign on Labor Day weekend. You may have had one of my round business cards placed on your car while you were shoppoing, you see my round signs around the district, you will see my ads in your internet searches, and you may start to get text messages and emails. All of my advertiseing is designed to get you HERE! And HERE you are. Since I can't meet all of you in person, consider this our meet up. Ask my opponents as well. I have challenged my opponent, the incumbent Democrat, Joe John to meet me at Lake Lynn and answer Q's together from voters as they pass by. I can't wait to see if he accepts the challenge. This is politics in 2024. The race for NC House 40 is not a headliner; but it is important to all of us who live here.
Attention all voters in the 07 precincts:
Some of your precincts are in District 40 for the first time; not all of them moved. Go to the "Voters in the 07 precincts " tab to find out more
